A Spanish artist based in Barcelona, Miquel Aparici practice relies on the use of recyclable materials such as iron or wood. His unique creations are characterized not only by a rich history, due to the material itself, but also his interpretation of form and playful use of perception. His sculptures unfold a humorous interaction with the viewer and thereby stimulate his imagination. His works has been exhibited throughout Spain and most notably at the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona in 2006, where he created an array of animal sculptures inspired by acclaimed architect Gaudí. His works are part of numerous private collections in Spain, Germany, Italy and USA.
